Transition.
He hid in the tundra
crying
cutting
cutting
cutting himself with ice.
My name is Legion
for we are many.
My name is Legion
for we are many.
My name is Legion
for we are many.
I believe my Lord!
Help me in my unbelief!
My name is Legion
for we are many.
He hid in the tundra
crying
cutting
cutting
cutting himself with ice.
My name is Legion
for we are many.
My name is Legion
for we are many.
My name is Legion
for we are many.
I believe my Lord!
Help me in my unbelief!
My name is Legion
for we are many.
As you know Rachel I am not a believer. But I always found these lines from scripture that you allude to to be powerful. Your use of these allusions are also powerful.
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait to read your upcoming verse.
:) I'm glad you're still enjoying the poem Brian. I agree that this passage is particularly powerful, though I haven't figured out why it speaks to me so much. I guess that's why so many people read the Bible - it has a strong message that speaks to people, even those who do not follow the same religion. Many of the other religious texts are similar - such as the Qur'an.
